Dr Hardik Bhatt is Associate Professor and Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University and is currently working as Head of Centre for Advanced Instrumentation. He is a recipient of Gold Medal for standing First in MPharm programme at the L M College of Pharmacy, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. He has completed PhD from Nirma University.

Dr Bhatt has published more than thirty research and review articles in international and national journals of repute. Dr Bhatt authored couple of books titled, “Practicals in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry” and “Practicals in Pharmaceutical Analysis I (Non-Instrumental and Instrumental Methods)”. Dr Bhatt has experience of working on various major and minor research projects funded by the GSBTM, GUJCOST and Nirma University. Dr Bhatt received several Travel Grants from the DST, ICMR, CSIR, etc. for presenting research work at International Conferences. Research papers presented or co-authored by him won prizes at various International and National Conferences. Overall he has more than 80 presentations to his credit. Dr Bhatt is reviewer of manuscripts in various international journals. His areas of research are synthesis of novel heterocyclic ring systems through microwave-irradiation and their evaluation as potent therapeutic agents, drug design, QSAR and molecular modelling, Analytical Method Development, etc. Dr Bhatt is recognised PG and PhD guide of Nirma University. He has been actively involved in various capacities in organising national and international conferences/workshops. Dr Bhatt is member of various organizations like, Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), American Chemical Society (ACS), Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI), Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists (ISCB) and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
